    dbpowerAMP doesn't start!!!!

Hi, I have installed release 10.1 but it's not running at all!?!?!

When I start the program I see the program mask of the program and a hourglass pointer (busy) and after a half a minute I get "Not responding error"..

    My configuration is:

    MBO: Asus A7N8X-X
    CPU: Athlon 2500+
    RAM: 512 Mb
    OS: Win XP with SP1

I'm using onboard AC97 soundcard, is that the problem?? Do I need an PCI souncard or dbpowerAMP can work with onboard soundcard??

DMC Audio CD Input starts normally, but when I set the parameters and try to convert anything it doesn't doing anything exept counting elapsed time....

If anyone knows what the problem could be I would really appreciate any help... :smile2: :smile2:

Not sure about your main problem, but dMC will run with just onboard sound. As for the freezing, have you tried the new Release 11 version of dbPowerAmp Music Converter? It may not fix your problem, but it's worth a shot.

You might try upgrading to release 11.

I've got a feeling that perhaps all teh components of dMC were not installed to the same folder as prompted during installation: c:\program File\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP . This regardless of which version of dMC is being installed.

If you installed the older version, 10.1, then you must ensure that you are not mixing more recent components with it, including codecs, that may require v 11.
