    no change or increase in file size

    When convering .wma to .mp3 i get no change or even larger file size even when converting to 24 bit stream
    Am I doing something wrong?

    Making a 24-bit file from a 16-bit file won't improve the quality. That's why the file size is bigger or the same, but the quality is the same.

      Dude, you're wasting your time and your hard drive. Just convert it to mp3 at the same bitrate at SIXTEEN bits, not TWENTY FOUR!

      (btw, did you select Professional Frequency Conversion when you installed dMC?)

        Err... .mp3 is not available for 24-bits. An .mp3 and a .wma with the same general specs will result in almost the same file size within a few bytes.

            No idea, maybe other specs are increased too, like bitrrate.
