    Converting wma to mp3 threads

Just wondering if it is possible to change .wma to .mp3. I have just downloaded dBpowerAMP music converter and I got this message
"a.wma is encrypted which dMC is not able to decode."

    Can anyone help?
    Please
    Richard

Encrypted files cannot be decoded by dMC because they are ... encrypted. This is the DRM at work.

Not sure if anything will work if you in fact do not have the rights to the .wma file, i.e. if you cannnot even play it in Windows Media Player.

You can try a few things:
    1) Try to burn an audio cd using Windows Media PLayer with your encrypted .wma files. If that works, then rip that cd uding dMC Audio CD Input to whatever format you like and you're in business.

    2) Use dMC Auxiliary Inoput to record the audio from the protected .wma file as it is being played through your soundcard. http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=5362

    3) There's a limited capability program that may be able to unlock the .wma file that I descrivbe in http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=6541
