DMC Conversion of Wav to MP3 stops in middle...

I ripped CDs to my disk, in Wav format (with EAC). I now try to convert them in bulk, to MP3. DMC stops in middle of conversion, for one file out of 4 or 5. No error message: the conversion progress window stays there, but does not progress, and the CPU utilisation drops to zero. Seems to be file related: if I retry, it stops at the same files. The Wav files sound OK when I listen to them.

I use version 11 of DMC, in Variable Bit rate. I have the registered version, with Powerpack.

    Don't know what to do!

Try a test conversion of those files. To do this, select "Test Conversion (no write)" as your codec. If it still hangs, there seems to be a problem with one of your wav files. What is the bitrate and frequency of these files? Are they all regular, 16-bit 44100Hz files? If one or more of them are 24-bit, this is the cause of the stopped conversion.
