my Registered DMC not working ???

I downloaded and tested the free DMC first
Installed it on the windows 2000 Used it to convert about 100+ real audio files to mp3 in 2-3 attempts (took >20-30 hrs) using DMC file selector.

I tried to convert more files...

    1. It started conversion.....I got a status window saying 'converting 1 of 20 mp3 (lame)...(ALT Preset Standard slection as source).it was like that for several hours with no change...

I quit the program...but it would not quit it keeps asking me

    "Cancel Converstion ?"

    I clicked 'Yes'

I would not stop and I clicked 'cancel' again and I go thro same process...
Finally, I used 'task manager' and 'end program' to quit the converstion.

I tried restarting the application....same result
I tried rebooting the computer....same result
I thought the problem may be related to registering the mp3 encoders
    I paid $14 to register

reinstalled the registered version...no problem...version configuration checked ok
worked fine for couple of times
I am again facing the same problem
I am the only one using the soft ware

Briefly, the problem is I am unable to convert even few files in using the DMC file selector.

Try converting one Real Audio file to wave (the simplest test you can do).

      thnx spoon
I just converted only one file to mp3 lame and I could convert it....

whe I tried to convert 10 files it is showing 0% even after 30 mintues....files are small files.

It appears to be a problem with 'batch conversion'

my computer processor speed is decent

When converting real media files the conversion process takes place in real time. The amount of time it will take to convert the files is the same amount of time it would take if you just listened to them.

i.e. Real files which total 30 minutes playing (listening) time will also take 30 minutes to convert.

That is interesting....I kind of guessed it because of the time it was taking to convert the files....(10-15 files per overnight session).

However, why doesn't the status window stay at 0% even while it took 3-4 hrs?

Also, earlier when I converted the files it was showing % updating depending on the number of files it converted. Now, it continues to show 'converting 1 of 10 files to mp3 (lame)'

          dont understand??????

Sure it isn't just one of the files that is stopping it converting? try taking one .ra file you know converts then copy it 10x and try to convert those ten.
