    DMC9a not responding.

Hi, I need some help please. I am trying to run DMC audio CD Input but whatever I try it is not responding. I have tried removing and re-installing, re-downloading set-up exe and loading all fail. When I open the prog it doesn't respond, I've tried opening with the icon, from start menu and auto start, no joy.
I am running Winxp, Athlon 1700, 256Mb ram, 40Gb HD, dvdRom & Memorex CDRW.
I've also tried using both cd drives.
    Any ideas please?
    Cheers,
    Phil.

Could be 2 things, either when it tried to read from the CD drive, or when goes to get freedb internet database. The first one could be solved by running the 'Audio CD Configuration' program and select 'Nt/2000 built in (limited)' as the communication method.

To check for the 2nd - start the Audio CD program with no disks in the drive.

      dmc9a not responding

Thanks, but I think you missed the point, it is not responding. The program opens and the interface/browser is displayed, in the lower left hand corner it says "static", no tracks are listed and the cd drive is idle. If I attempt to click on anything in the toolbar it comes up "(not responding)", then the windows pop-up; programme not responding , end now, send report to MS etc.
      Cheers,
      Phil.

I still don't want to change my advice, both of those problems could easily cause it to 'lock up'

How can you not change your advice? The prog does not respond so I can't do anything you suggest. Is there anybody who actually understands English or am I wasting my time trying to run what could be a good prog. I can't run Audio CD config because the prog will not respond.
LOL, read what I have said before, if you don't have an answer just say so, don't waste my time.
          Thank you.
          Phil.

            Lets not get heated, chill.

You can get the configuration program here:

Start >> Programs >> dbpoweramp music converter >> configuration >> dmc Audio CD Configuration

Thank you very much Spoon, problem sorted. Sorry about the rant, I was just so frustrated. I can now say great programme, keep the faith. Thanks again.
