Re: The CODEC required to decompress (files) could not be opened
Take one of your Flac files and try to test convert it (this is the same as regular converting except in the Music Converter window where you would select MP3 as your format, select Test Conversion). If it test converts ok the problems may be with the settings for your mp3 files you are trying to create. Please send details on the bits, bitrate, frequency and number of channels you are using for the mp3 files you are trying to create.
If the test conversion fails, this suggests a problem with either the codec or the audio file. If you can play the audio file ok in a program like WinAmp, that would suggest a codec problem. If you use dBpowerAMP Audio Player and that can play the file ok, that would suggest the codec is ok.
So try out some of these options and let us know what you find.
Good luck and best wishes,

Kambole:
You will need to be more specific if you are having a problem. If this is related to your other posting, please see my response here:
The CODEC required to decompress 'E:\Track01.cda' could not be opened. Unable to access CD Drive 'E:\Track01.cda' This appears when i try to convert a CD to .MP3 files. Can someone please help not only for me for me but everyone else? Thanx
Best wishes,

Re: The CODEC required to decompress (files) could not be opened
I've got the same problem, 'the codec required to decompress could not be opened'.
I can't play the file, nor with WinAmp, neither with dBpowerAudioplayer.
I tried a test with the converter with tyhe same result.
How can I deliver the details on bits, bitrate a.s.o. you asked? Where do I find them?Comment
