    problems selecting input

I downloaded the db sw first to record some streamed audio using auxiliary input which worked fine. I'm now trying to record from some old vinyl

I have the inputs connected to line in on the sound card

    I have dmc-r11b4a & dmc-Aux-Input

on selectin options from DMC Auxilary input I get a choice of 2 inputs

SB Live! Wave device or Default

I'm getting no signal input from either setting. The help suggests that there should be a line in option to select but there isn't

    Im running windows 2000

    Any suggestions ?
    thanks

Look in Volume controls (from the atsk bar)>Options>recording and check the volume slider for that input source (Stereo Mix or Line-in or whatever you selected). it shoudl bea round 2/3 of the way up.

For playback you may have set your main volume too low as well.

        Re: problems selecting input

You also need a pre-amp between the turntable and the computer line-in. Some turntables have these built-in, some not. If you have a stereo receiver/amplifier with a phono input you can use that and then connect from the line-out of the receiver to the line-in on computer. This article should help: http://www.pcabusers.net/vinyllp/vinyllp.htm
