How to add a CD drive.

Im using DMC a few months now and have just installed release eleven.

Im having a problem with it though. It wont recognise my cd-rom drive. I have an external Iomega cd-rw drive and it recognises that but it wont recognise my internal drive.

Is there any way I can add a new drive or make the program recognise it.

I want to try using this drive cause Im not getting a very fast rip from my external Iomega, which is a 52x drive. Its only encoding at about 2x?

My PC is fairly old, Win 98, P3 600Mhz so I understand its not going to be lightning quick but my external drive is connected with USB2 and I thought it would be faster.

    Thanks

The encoding speed doesn't correspond directly to the speed of the drive. The fastest endoding rate I've seen was 24x on a 40x speed drive.

To change CD drives, go to Options --> CD-Drive, click on it, and select your other drive there.

Edit: what format are you trying to encode to when you rip?
