While instructions are given as to how this should be written in DOS, I'm afraid I'm so ignorant of programming, even in DOS, to take this on - I can create enough problems as it is! So ... is there an EEC component available anywhere, please? Thanks, and a big thank you to all who have posted ideas and advice on the subject - it's appreciated.
Actually that's an old dos mp3 encoder program which is required to make that work. I don't appear to have it on my pc either, and I've searched everywhere on the net for it. The idea is that if you bought the original program from FhG for mp3 encoding that's the one that's needed. Since this goes back to quite possibly WIndows 95 times, several pc generations back, fat chance of anybody still having one of thsoe around, whether bought or pirate. I could swear I used to have it years ago, but I no longer have it now.

But why do you want that one in particular?

---- WOW! I found it in an old zip file!

It's an old demo version from 1998, it might work. I'll send it to you and you can try to see what you can do with it.

----. later yet ---- I tried it and it works!
