I was converting a WAV to MP3 and chose Volume Normalization. I do not have PowerPack. The task crashed (not dbPowerAmp's fault), and the temporary file that it was creating apparently stuck around, because my disk space is significantly reduced. Tried running Disk Cleanup, but apparently the temp file created by dbPowerAmp is not recognized as a temp file by that tool. So where is it, so I can nuke it?
temp file location?

Re: temp file location?
If you do not have Power Pack, where did you choose Volume Normalization?
Have you tried restarting your computer and the disk space is still reduced?
My understanding is that there is a temp file created for DSP effects (which require the Power Pack) but that Music Converter also will perform a mild volume normalization without Power Pack. I have always known temp conversion files to disappear either after conversion or after restart. But if they are hanging around I would look in the folder you designated for your output file (your mp3).
If this doesn't help, you might try using your Windows search function to look at all files created the date of the crash and see if you can identify a likely culprit.
If those don't help, please let us know what you were able to find out and what Windows system you are using.
Good luck and best wishes,
