Re: mp4 to mp3 conversion
Do you have the AAC/MP4 decoder installed from Codec Central? Can you test convert one of these files? I have noticed that my system has begun assuming that mp4 files are mpeg4 movie files. It may be that your system is choosing to treat these as video files which could explain why programs like WMP and Nero Media Player can handle them but regular audio programs cannot. This calls for a trip to dMC configuration to see if you have a decoder association for mp4 and a trip to Control Panel> File Properties> File Associations to make sure that your mp4 files are associated with dBpowerAMP Music Converter.
When you say you can play these files in Nero Media Player and WMP, are you referring to the mp4 files or the mp3 files?
If you are trying to convert to regular cd format, why not convert your mp4 files to wav and see if that works any better?
Try out some of these ideas and let us know what you find. If you need more help, please provide some specifics as to the questions indicated above and please make sure you are trying to convert mp4 files and not m4p files (which are an entirely different matter), and please let us know what settings your mp4 files have (bits, frequency, bitrate, number of channels) and the settings you are using for the mp3 files you are trying to create.
Good luck and best wishes,
