    Multiple files = same size

    Something very weird :
I am converting several (3 for example) *.rm files into lame-mp3. These three conversions are done in paralel, i.e. I have 3 dbpowerAMP running.
When there all finished ... the three *.mp3 file i get are EXACTLY the tame size. Is there a reason for that ?

Re: Multiple files = same size

I would see if any or all 3 of them play.
Sometimes a conversion will fail in a way that results in what looks like an output (in your case a converted mp3) file with a ridculously low bitrate (measured in kb rather than mb). These files will usually be totally unplayable.
It may be that while you thought you were ripping 3 different tracks at the same time you actually ripped the same track 3 times. In this case, each track may be playable but each track will be identical. Since my understanding has been that dBpowerAMP Music Converter can only run one operation at a time, my guess is that you ended up ripping one track three times (or perhaps three tracks together three times).
Sometimes errors in tagging might yield such a result but I think this is a bit less likely.

So why don't you try checking these files out further and telling us what you find?

    Best wishes,

Real media files are converted in real time, as if they were being played, but without hearing any audio. I doubt you could play 3 different such files simultaneously, so really it must be as Xoas is saying, you converted the same file 3 times.
