napster wma file conversion to play on portable device

I have downloaded some wma files from Napster for which I pay £9.95 per month, but when I try & copy them to my portable device (Creative Zen Jukebox) using Windows Media player version 9 I receive an error message.

Is this because the Napster wma files are in some way protected? & if so is there anyway of 'un-protecting' them or do I have have to buy a napster portable player?

Re: napster wma file conversion to play on portable device

Napster does indicate that some portable devices cannot play their files although this appears to be related to the ability of the device to handle wma files. There is a list of devices that are able to play wma format located here:

It looks like your device should be able to play it. Looking at Napster, there is a possibility that you may need to update your device drivers (See:
    http://www.napster.com/compatible_devices/).

    Hope this helps.

      Bill

Thanks for the reply - my portable is compatible according to Windows list & have also downloaded latest Creative download but still no joy. Will hang on a bit longer for any other replies before making next move
