Problem with WMA9 codec

Since I installed windows media player 10 I always get this error whenever I try to convert anything to wma...

The CODEC required to compress 'C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\The Beta Cessions\Celldweller - Goodbye.wma' could not be opened.

Can someone help me out?

First, do you have the wma codec for dMC installed? This codec is not included by default and would explain your error message. You can get this codec and all other codecs at Codec Central (link above). If you do have a wma codec installed, try the newest version:

If you already had a wma codec, uninstall the current one before you install the newest one. I am unsure if the codec requires the new R11 dMC or if it will work with R10.1.
