Did you download & install dMC from http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm ?

Then you can convert your mp3 to .wav without any extra codecs needing installation. If you download the latest beta version of dMC however, you need Powerpack as well since the mp3 codec will be included in PowerPack rather than in standard dMC. You get a trial PowerPack good for a short time, after which you need to buy it.

As for the .wave - what can you tell us about it? Normally it should be the same as a .wav so you can just rename the file using the .wav extension instead of .wave .
