Re: unable to convert help please

The Support FAQ is located here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc-support.htm

    The item in question reads:
    Q. Error Message 'Unable to copy Temporary file xxxxx'
    A. If you are converting just one file using explorer and the original file is to be replaced be the newly converted file, then Windows Media Player can stop the conversion from taking place. When a single audio file is selected in explorer, Windows Media Player pops-up to the left ready to play the file, the problem is - whilst it is waiting to play the file, nothing else (including dMC) can write to the file. To get around this - go back to explorer just before dMC is ready to convert (whilst the option page is shown), and select a different file in explorer. Also check you are not out out of disk space.
Another workaround would be to not replace the source file after conversion and I would think another workaround would be to not allow Windows Media Player to be the default program for opening your audiio files.

If these considerations do not apply, please try a test conversion of your file (same as a regular conversion except that where you select the codec for your output files you select "Test conversion").

Please let us know how you make out.
    Good luck and best wishes,
    Bill Mikkelsen
