WMA Files now playing at double speed.!!!

Hi

I have just done my first coversion from CD to hard disk into wma 9 and now all my wma files are now playing at breakneck speed even if the previous ones(not off the CD but converted from Mp3 files) played alright before.Anyone any ideas whats gone wrong or how to correct it.

What is playing them? also if you rip a cd to wave, or mp3, do they play at the right speed?
