Is this while trying to rip or convert to mp3 from a cd?

Is the option "delete after conversion" enabled by chance? or perhaps the destination folder for the resulting file may be the same as the original? In this case it wouldn't work since the original folder is in fact the cd itself so writing on it is out of question.
