ASF (audio & video) to WAV (is this possible?)

hi. i have some asf files (audio & video) and i want to convert them into wav files but the program crashes or the conversion doesn't work and when trying to open the "converted" file a message appears on my audio player and says: "the data chunk contains no data".
can someone please help me?
