MP3 VBR...not for all MP3 players?

If there is a thread in this, pls just point me in the right direction. Is it true that not all MP3 players (I have a Creative Nomad II MG) will play MP3 VBR?

It is true that not all mp3 players will play vbr mp3 files. Others may play some and not others. Also, some will have trouble with mp3 files encoded with the Lame codec (although Lame is arguably the best mp3 codec available).
I do not think yu Creative Nomad II will have trouble with vbr files but you might check you User manual or try getting information on this from the manufacturer's web site.

I personally prefer to just try something out myself - the only way to know if and how it actually works :D

So why don't you just encode a few files to mp3 VBR and copy them to your Nomad and see what happens?
