I am trying to convert a cda file to Monkey's and I am getting this Error Message: <The CODEC required to compress 'E:\Track01.ape' could not be opened>
Is this a single cd you have problems with or does this happen with some/all/most of your cd's?
Can you rip your cda to wav?
Are you using high compression for the ape files you are trying to create?
You might try ripping cd to wav and then to Monkeys. If cd to wav works and the wav to Monkeys works it might be your system can't quite accomplish both steps at once.
If you can convert to wav but not from wav to monkeys try a lower compression setting for Monkeys.
If you can't convert to wav then the problem lies elsewhere. If this happens with all or many cd's, I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling dMC. If this only happens with one cd, let us know and we might suggest some other solutions.
Let us know how get along. If these ideas don't work, could you please let us know what version of dMC you are using and what Windows version you are using.
Good luck and best wishes,
