I have downloaded softwear but it will not convert wmp to mp3 it says error can anyone help me on this

It would be a great help if you could tell us what the error message is.
If the error message says that the file cannot be opened because it is encrypted then you cannot convert it. If you can play the file in Windows Media Player, you can record it off of your soundcard using dBpowerAMP Auxilary Input.

If the error message says something else, please reply with the text of your error message.

on the box it says( error whilst converting ) and that is how it is spelled inside it reads --is encrypted which dMC is not able to decode.

So you got your answer - the file is encrypted. The solution is then to use dMC Auxiliary Input as outlined in http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=5362
