Somehow i managed to get two (2, count'em) mp3 Lame codec into dbpoweramp.........
Looking under dbpoweramp>Compression I have a folder named: Lame and a folder
named: mp3(Lame.exe).
These folders breakdown as having:
Lame folder files = copying and lame enc.dll
mp3Lame folder files = lame.exe and options.txt
Which folder do i need to get rid of??
Also, under the compression folder there are 2 .dll's as named: Mp3(Lame).dll and mp3(lame.exe).dll.
Do i need to get rid of one of them? Which one??
Have no idea how this happened or if this is the way its supposed to be....
I tried the 24bit, 48khz, 5.1 wav on an mp3 file (It worked and sounded great but a very large file.
When i tried to convert that wav back to an mp3 file, i got an error msg as:
"The CODEC required to compress 'E:\NM2\AmesBrothersRagMop.mp3.TEMP.mp3' could not be opened."
Seeing this error, i looked at the folder and saw the duplicate(?) codex.
Thanks for all help,
savagcl
