Problem with japanese font

Hi

Let's see if anyone can help me.

In the "Audio CD input" program FreedB works fine retreiving album information. But I get question marks instead of japanese letters with my japanese music.

Is it a problem with FreedB not supporting japanese font? does the cd ripping program not support japanese font? or am I doing something wrong?

I use windowsxp and I have my regional settings set to japanese.
Every other program works fine and has no problems with japanese letters.

Does anyone know how to solve this? it's quite a pain having to rename every file.

Freedb has only recently gained the option to work with utf8, not many albums will be currently available in utf8 though.

dBpowerAMP will not work with this until Release 12 at least (the next release will be R11).

Thanks for the answer.

I have been investigating ever since and yesterday I found the solution.

But it doesn't work with DbpowerAMP. I've had to switch to another program.

I'll be looking forward to Release 12!!
