cannot erase disc burned with dbpowerAMP

I converted some flac files to cda and burned some discs but messed up the track order, now when I try to erase these discs or write over top of them, I get this error

CD Drive Error 'The current track mode is incompatible with the disc format'
Audio disc has not been written

any help would be appreciated, thanks

Are you trying to write over tracks burned onto a CD-R or CD-RW?

CD-R is write-once. Once the data/music written, it's finished, except in some cases when writing data.

CD-RW can be erased and written onto many times, around 1,000 or so. However, CD-RWs cannot be read by some older CD players or CD-ROMS. They are also more expensive and write slower.

If your trying to erase a CD-R, you cannot erase it. If you want to change something, you will have to burn a new copy.

The disc was closed so no further writing is possible or it is not a cd-rw in the first place.
