Audio CD in Slave drive not recognized

On my secondary IDE channel, I have a DVDRW as the master and a cdrw as slave. When I insert an audio CD into the CDRW (slave) dMC Audio CD Input fails to recognize the CD.

I have a lot of old and dirty CD's I rip and don't want to get dirt in my new DVDRW drive.

Is there any way to select which CD device to rip from, and will it allow me to choose the slave (or do I need to rewire stuff)?

Yes, in dMC Audio CD Input > Options go down to CD Drive and select another one.
