    lame Lame 3.93.1 (Dibrom's switches)

    Hi
i would love to use dBpowerAMP Music Converter and an external lame encoder
lame Lame 3.93.1 (Dibrom's switches) but i get every time an error
    i can't encode!!! why?

i created a new external encoder , i give the command --alt-preset extreme
    and nothing

What is the error you are getting? Can you encode the files using the normal lame encoder supplied with dMC? Have you tried running Lame.exe from the command line and does it work with the options that you want to use?

Have you tried using the Lame external codec which was designed to enable people to use Lame with the more uncommonly used options? It is available for download from codec central (see link at top of this page).

      Hi Wayne

What is the error you are getting?
      Code error and nothing else

yes i can use the normal lame encoder!
yes i tied to run lame from the command line , the problem
is i think that lame Lame 3.93.1 (Dibrom's switches) (the best version and sounds better ) DOES't Support STDin/out !!!!!!!

is there a switch to disable the STDin/out ?

You installed the Generic CLI? or the dMC Lame .EXE codec (two seperate).

For generic you need something like [infile] and [outfile], for Lame there is already a CLI version, on the lame download page.

yes i think 3.93.1 encodes best than all later version. It encodes higher frequencies better and more complete if you take a looks at frequency analyzers.
