Spoon, please read: dMC and .ram files

In all my tests so far I have not been able to convert the audio from a .ram meta file by simply using dMC. In fact dMC just hangs and can't even be cancelled. I have to end the process using the task manager. This happens even for an uncomplicated .ram file where the underlying .rm file resides right in the same folder and is not protected or anyhting like that.

The conversion of course works perfectly well when done using the .rm or .ra file (unprotected).

Is this a bug in dMC or is it in fact not supported (thus the documentation is wrong on that)?

Meta files will not work.

Yes, this is what I'm trying to say. However Codec Central specifies .ram alongside with .ra and .rm :p

I have a similar problem. Have installed dMC & downloaded the .ra file to my hard disk.
When I right-click the .ra file and select the "Convert To..." option, dMC hangs. The progress bar comes up but stays at 0%.
I am unable to cancel the conversion & have to call Task Manager to force a shutdown.
I use Win 2000, any suggestions?

Your .ra file is probably protected. Use dMC Auxiliary input.

.ram is always meta files? they can never contain audio?
