File Names

when i want to rip a CD...it automatically detects the song names from the internet. If i were to download some songs with these ridiculous all-info-in-the-title names....how could i get it to autodetect the real names?

What do you mean by the real names and what is the difference? How about a couple of examples?

Are you refering to normal single artist albums or compilations containing tracks by various artists?

If you are unhappy with the names there is nothing stopping you from renaming them yourself. The updated track information will be stored in the file c:\windows\cdplayer.ini where dMC will find it when you next put the CD in your PC.

You could also submit any corrections back to freedb.
