20 minutes to rip a single track

I've used dbpoweramp with the powerpack for about a year, and it's always worked quite well until very recently when it began ripping at extremely slow speeds (20 minutes for each track). I can still copy data from a cd at normal speeds, so I'm almost positive that this is a software problem. I tried reinstalling the program and testing it on different cds, but nothing works. I read the FAQ and downloaded the Nero software, but with that running, my computer didn't even know there was a disc inserted (when I exited the program and tried again, the computer recognized the disc as normal).

    What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the powerpack installed and if you do are you using the 'Rip to Ram' option and what priority have you set?

Have you tried a test rip or ripping as wav?
