Re: error converting using 'windows media audio 9 professional'

In looking into this problem, I found no problems converting to 2 channel wma pro files (either at 44 khz or at 48 khz). I did run into this problem trying to create a 5:1 channel pro files both using source file with 2 channel format and also using dMC Audio CD Input. I believe that you cannot convert a 2 channel file to a 5:1 channel format (at least not with dMC alone) without running into this problem. If you are trying to convert from and to 2 channel formats, you might try enabling Professional Frequency Conversion (from your dMC Configuration Window).
You might try out these tips. I am sure that if I am mistaken in my belief that dMC will not convert a 2 channel file to a 5:1 channel file, an alert participant will post to correct this.
