Problems with Quicktime AAC CLI Encoder

    Programs Used:
    Windows XP Pro SP1
    Quicktime 6.5.1 Pro
    dMC Release 11 beta 2 / beta 3
    dMC File Selector
    Quicktime CLI Encoder

    Brief description of problem:
When converting files to AAC with dMC, it will take the time to decode the file to wav, then the progress bar will stop and I will consistently get the error "Couldn't open the file "~temp.wav" because the sound information was in a bad or damaged format." from quicktime.

    Background:
After installing the CLI encoder and configuring quicktime for the AAC settings I wanted as given in the readme, I tested the encoder on a few files, and it worked fine. Files were generated OK through the script, with tags and everything. Then, I decided to try encoding several files at once with the File Selector, which quickly gave me the error shown above. After this, every time I tried to convert any file with dMC, I got the same error. I can decode files to wav, then run those wav files through quicktime manually, but when I use dMC, even on pre-decoded wav files, I get the same error.
I've checked, and all files I've tried are 44.1 khz 16 bit files (most I ripped from CD myself with EAC)
I tried this first with beta 2, but after upgrading to beta 3 (which I noticed this morning) there was no change. I've tried re-installing the dMC codec for quicktime, and that did nothing as well. I guess the next step is to re-install quicktime.

When that error shows (don't click anything) and try to open the ~wave file in Sound recorder.

i don't see any ~temp.wav file in the directory my files are (or the target directory, when it is different than the source dir) but other CLI encoders (such as the lame.exe for custom command line and the ogg P4 encoder) work without a problem.

where should I look for the wav file?

Wait for the error message to show, the ~temp.wav file should be in the root of the drive converting to.
