Hello,
I've just started using dBpowerAMP so forgive me if these questions seem stupid. I've tried searching for answers but I haven't been able to find anything specific. My questions revolve around ripping & encoding speeds.
I'm finding that the encoding of files to mp3 is quite slow on my system compared to the other encoders I used to use. Regardless of whether I rip & encode from a CD or encode from a wav file to mp3, it only gets between 2X to 5X Realtime Encoding. My ripping speed is great (up to 50x), but the encoding speed is quite slowIs that normal? I have a P4 2.4 GHz / 1.5 GB RDRAM / Win XP Pro. I have the Powerpack and have it set to Rip to Ram (with Auto Max) and Rip & Encode at Same Time and I also have the No Jitter Correction selected. All other settings are at the default settings. I've tried it both with Professional Frequency Conversion checked and uncheked...makes a bit of difference but not much.
