I keep my music library in APE for archival purposes on a large hard drive, and I have it sorted as
F:\My Documents\Music\Monkey's Audio\Artist - Album\TrackNumber - SongTitle.ape
I have been using dMC to convert large numbers of files to wav to transfer to a sony minidisc (since i have to use their software). I use file selector so I can retain the folder structure (using "keep path when convert") and select many files to run through at once, but there is no way to customize how it lays out the folder structure. I want to output my files to a folder called
F:\My Documents\Music\TEMP DECODES
and I only want to keep one layer of folder structure, so, say
F:\My Documents\Music\Monkey's Audio\Van Morrison - Back On Top\03 - In The Midnight.ape
would be decoded to
F:\My Documents\Music\TEMP DECODES\Van Morrison - Back On Top\03 - In The Midnight.ape
but instead, File Selector copies all the folders up to the root, so I get
F:\My Documents\Music\TEMP DECODES\My Documents\Music\Monkey's Audio\Van Morrison - Back On Top\03 - In The Midnight.ape
Of course I can manually move all the files to the top directory, but this is an extra step that shouldn't be necessary. I know I could use a re-organize by tag function, if wav files had tags, but they don't. Is there any way to customize File Selector, or another part of dMC, to control how it lays out the folder structure?
Thanks
