New User needs help - CODEC decompression error

I installed dbpoweramp on one of my computers and it is working fine. I tried to install it on another computer which is also running Win2000, and I keep getting an error when I try to convert CDs to MP3. Here is the error:

    CODEC decompression error for '\\CdRom\Track01.cda'
Error whilst running DSP effect, lack of disk space? Temp file 'c:\temp\DMC2DE.tmp'
Unable to Rip track - make sure correct Ripping method is selected and CD Drive supports digital audio extraction.

Any ideas? I have lots of disk space, so that isn't the problem.

If you have the powerpack installed, go to the DSP effects and turn off the volume normalize DSP, that ought to help.

Tried it, helped a bit. Now I get:

      CODEC decompression error for '\\CdRom\Track01.cda'
Unable to Rip track - make sure correct Ripping method is selected and CD Drive supports digital audio extraction.

I am still doing something wrong here. :(
