Cannot convert MP3 file to .wav
CODEC required to compress could not be opened. Why? Can someone help me, plz?

I found the answer, thank you. Yes, it would play with media player. I somehow lost the mpeg layer-3 codec which was installed. I simply went into widows explorer....located the mpeg file, and double-clicked it to reinstall. Thank you for your help.
