Before I use dbPowerAmp to convert m4a's to mp3's, I'm using Hymn (PlayFair v2) to strip the DRM out of purchased iTunes tracks (i.e. using Hymn to go from m4p to m4a). When I do this, some of the tags get discarded. I know that's a Hymn issue and not a dbPowerAmp issue, but I figured I'd see if anyone knew how to avoid that. It keeps Artist and Title, but it loses Album, Track Number, and Genre (at least), so I have to go back and reenter all this info, which sucks.
