Problems converting .ram to mp3 !!

Seems like there are two types of real player files (.ram) and only one type of it I can convert (at present) :

when u click properties u can see the "size" as well sa the "size on disk" , the thing is that only in case both values are the same ( eg. both 14 MB) there is no problem ... the program works fine ... but for some files this is not the case.... and the conversion doesnt work properly

it does appear to work but when u want to open the newly created file it wont open and simply cant be read

anyone had similar problems and know what to do??

RAM files are normally the meta-files for RM, which are the actual audio files. The meta file is a regular text file which points to the RM file. It can be used to make playlists of several RM files.

Sometimes RAM files are simply renamed RM files, so this is where a direct conversion may work, unless there are other considerations such as some type of copy-protection (if there is such a thing in real media).

There is also the multi-stream format of RM files which may not respond well to conversions. I haven't tried this.
