I don't know which is the codec I need

I have recently installed the program. When I try to change a CD into .mp3 files, I get this message:

The CODEC required to compress '[file name].mp3' could not be opened.

I get a message like this for each song in the CD.

I wonder if you could help me

It could be caused by the encoding options you have selected for the mp3 files you are trying to create. I normally use one of the preset options.

The latest beta version of dMC should give a more meaningful message regarding the encoding options rather than codec could not be opened.
