".aif could not be opened"

i'm trying to encode a whole bunch of .aiff files to wma format. it seems that some of the files will convert and some wont. the files seem to work in other conversion programs like "audioalchemy wma edition".

i get the message ".aif could not be opened"

any ideas?

Only uncompressed aiff can be converted.
