Can no longer convert to MP3

Have been converting itunes M4P to MP4 and then to MP3 with no problems at all for some time now. Today I got a little greedy and tried to convert several files at once and system (XPPRO) completely locked and never recovered. Couldn't even get to Taskmgr and had to cold restart system and now the m4p to mp4 conversion goes smoothly but converting to mp3 finishes at blinding speed and the resulting file is only 2KB and not usable. Have reinstalled dMC and restarted several times but with same results.. Any ideas?

Try deleting the folder C:\program files\illustrate\dbpoweramp

then reinstall. ** if you have my audio player then backup your music database first.
