Re: mp4 to mp3 converting problem (2kb files)
Actually, the files wind up as 44 bytes of .... nothing.
Used both dBPowerAmp and Easy CD-DA extractor with the same result. One begins to think that this might be a result of Apple's messing with their stuff a couple weeks ago.Comment

Ditto here... I had to run the conversion twice just to make sure. I'm getting runtime errors.
On a further note... I knew this was bound to happen sooner or later and I almost knew that the new iTunes would design their latest release to prevent conversion. I don't know if Foobar2000 still works but I'm inclined to give it a go tonight.Last edited by DJBean; May 08, 2004, 03:17 PM.Comment

Re: mp4 to mp3 converting problem (2kb files)
Well, this is how I did it. I used DdDRMS to unprotect. Renamed all files to *.m4a and then used dBpowerAMP to convert to mp3.
Only 2 out of 117 files produced an exception: Decryption of 'priv' atom failed.
The problem is that you have to compile DeDRMS.exe yourself but there are suggestions with the code (very small source file!). It appears that this app is quickly being removed from the net. Good Luck.
I am *happy* to pay for the music but I cannot be tied to my computer to play it.Comment
