When using dB PowerAmp Aux Input to convert LP's to .mp3's, there is an annoying fade in/fade out and volume reduction on passages that have a short pause between them and/or are at a low level. Can this be corrected, or is this a characteristic of the conversion process?

Re: Aux Input Fading
I've experienced the same thing when converting midi files or the audio from flash (swf) files. Also, with midi file conversions, the bass seems to be emphasized enormously. Midi should normally not be a problem, because I actually have a program that can produce a mix-down audio from a midi file (or so it says), except for some reason it was giving me some trouble and I was to lazy to try to figure it out, so I decided to use DMC auxiliary input. -

Re: Aux Input Fading
You may want to try making an LP conversion of a selection that has some brief pauses, particularly on low level portions. In my case, it was very noticeable on Dan Fogelberg's "Leader Of The Band" (intro especially). Please let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.Comment

Re: Aux Input Fading
Try switching off the auto start / auto end and control the recording manually - by pressing the button.
By fading you mean the volume fades at the end, or there are beginning or ending of the recording missing?Comment

Re: Aux Input Fading
more than likely it is the signal/LP that is fluctuating. if you do a local aux input test is it all good? as in start up a track you know is good on your hard drive and then record what your playing through aux input and see how it comes out.Comment
