SOrry to bug ya but

I get this goofy cannot open the the codec to decompress. i'm trying to go from ogg to mp3.. i tried a few others like wave and test but i still keep getting the error

tried restarting the machine but i just don't understand why it can't open it.. the dll is there.. its just not opening it?

you prolbably didn't need all that but hey i'm anal.. i like lames r3mix settings so those are the ones i'm using.. i would try diffrent settings but it won't even work in test mode or wave or anything.. i don't see how diffrent mp3 settings would help

No any ogg file i have (including the one above) cannot be converted into anything... wave, test , mp3 (lame settings), flac

i can't change it...

but i can take an mp3 and turn it into an ogg file or turn a wav file into an ogg file

so i can turn my files into ogg i just can't decode them for some reason..

Can you listen to the ogg files using dAP?

Open 'dMC Configuration' it will list what it can decode and encode, I am guessing you need the Ogg codec (you might have installed just the pentium 4 ogg encoder (no decoder in that package).
