Which DSP are you trying to run? You may want to uninstall dbpoweramp copnvertor and then restart your computer and then re-install it. That may help it.

Have you installed the powerpack? If not you shouldn't be able to run DSP effects.

BTW what format are you trying to rip the tracks to?

Turn off Volume normalize (that is a DSP effect).

Is the CD Communication option set to "2000/NT Built-IN (Limited"?

To find out open dMC Audio CD Configuration, found in Start >> Programs >> Illustrate >> dBpowerAMP Music Converter >> Configuration.

                        heres a strange thing....
every time I try to JUST
play a cd before I convert it I will
open it up under my music collection
and it finds all the songs and tags them but if
I try to play a selected song it will
just scroll through the entire album In just a few
                        seconds and keeps repeating that.....hmmmmm.

using MusicMatch or Windows Media Player 9

Hmm, you may have to do the old fashioned uninstall everything (Dbpoweramp Player and Converter), restart your computer, then re-install them, restart your computer again. This is a pain, but it almost usually works out problems like that.

                              Hi,

                              I've had the same problems.
Go to dBpowerAMP music converter, click on options, look if the cd drive is correct. Let the player have the cda file associations.
