flac conversion

when i try to convert from flac to wav i am getting only static when trying to play the wav file. if i play the flac file in winamp it plays fine but after i convert it only static comes out. any ideas why?

Which settings are used in the conversion?
Maybe that you used a DSP effect like volume quieten?
I have done a test and I have found no problems.
