4Mb MP4 becomes 2k MP3 in 0 seconds....

I cannot get the software to convert my mp4s to mp3s and have tried installing it 4 or 5 times. I get all the convert to options and have tried both Lame and Blame encoders. I pick the files and for every one I get between a 2 and 4kb mp3 with 0 length.

Any suggestions?

What created the mp4 files? try playing them in another program to make sure they are ok.

This keeps happening to mine as well, my m4p's are from itunes and using the m4p2mp4 converter. It used to work on my Win2K machine now the Win XP Pro is having problems.

Try playing the unprotected mp4 files in QuickTime, if that cannot play them the problem lies with the mp4 file.

thats it, quicktime plays through the track but theres no sound. any ideas on how to fix the m4p to mp4 decoding, I'm using the vbs script I found on this forum and the m4p2mp4.exe file.
