abr crash below 32khz w/ mp3 [Lame]

How come when i try to encode a song that is below 32khz to abr, it keeps stopping with
The CODEC required to compress 'C:\music\*file*.mp3' could not be opened.

Certain combinations do not work, you could try the Command Line lame encoder from Codec Central.
