    normalizing for mp3 player

    Hi,

I want to convert my mp3/waves to 64kb wmv 9 format to conserve space on my portable mp3 player. i've noticed that when i convert, there's an option to normalize. is this necessary? i've also notice that when i convert the sound gets louder wheter or not i choose the normalize option. thanks. also, if i normalize does it degrade quality? (i.e. converting from mp3-->wmv in dbpowerAMP w/ the normalize option checked).

av is audio video, it makes no difference. Normalize will not degrade the quality, choice is yours.
